Owner Martin Brunnschweiler says the costs of putting on the festival are huge, and raising a profit is less than expected.
The brewery has been in the gardens for the second year in a row, following the loss of its previous fixture at the Bottleneck car park.
Mr Brunnschweiler says despite the event's popularity, its future is not guaranteed:
