Buses, a new school and age of public sector workforce to be discussed in HoK

Twelve questions due to be answered at this morning's sitting

Bus services, funding for a new primary school and the age of the public sector workforce will all be discussed in the House of Keys this morning.

Twelve questions have been put forward for this morning's sitting.

Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood will face a couple of questions about buses, as Douglas Central member Chris Thomas wants to know when the bus service review was completed, while Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse asks what discussions have taken place regarding a bus service for Cregneash.

Mr Moorhouse will also be seeking details from Education Minister Daphne Caine about the funding and building of a primary school on the Crossag Farm development.

Minister Without Portfolio Tim Crookall will be asked about the age demographic of the public sector workforce, and plans to ensure continuity across all public services by Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper.

Other topics include the duties of Manx Care's chief nurse, the Tynwald members' parking policy and accommodation provided for homeless people.

Away from questions, Treasury Minister Alex Allinson will move the Global Minimum Tax (Pillar Two) Order 2024 (Confirmation) Bill 2025 for its third reading.

The sitting gets underway at 10am - you can follow coverage on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, online and on digital platforms.

The Legislative Council does not sit today.
