DoI confirms no walkouts over 'two-tier' contract system
Bus Vannin is apologising to Isle of Man residents following ongoing disruption to the bus network in recent weeks.
It's been issuing daily updates - highlighting routes at risk of cancellation due to staff shortages and illness.
However the transport operator has dismissed rumours claiming a number of staff walked out in a row over a 'two-tier' contract system adding whilst an overtime rate remains in place not all drivers have access to it.
There's currently an almost 10 percent vacancy rate with a recruitment drive underway to address this.
Head of Operations Ian Bates told Manx Radio that while only a small percentage of services are affected he understands that some people depend on them:
For the latest information about affected bus services, head to the Bus Vannin Facebook page or you can track your bus here.
