Smith says it may improve bus network for future
Capping bus fares on the Isle of Man to help people through the cost-of-living crisis could improve the bus network for the future.
That’s the view of Garff MHK Andrew Smith.
Government will cap all journeys at £2 from November – a move that's been delayed until then so that issues with driver availability and timetabling can be addressed.
Mr Smith, who is a political representative for Treasury, says it should take some of the pressure off:
Smile of Mann programme to start in primary schools next year
Loganair passengers yet to be reunited with bags left in Manchester on Sunday
Kirk Michael man taking on 31 marathons in 31 days in memory of friend
Government grant partially funded fishing vessel later used for smuggling
