MHk warns the next treasury minister could have difficulties balancing the books
The next treasury minister will face difficulties balancing the Island's Budget after 'giveaways' in this year's spending plan.
That's from Onchan MHK Rob Callister, who warns government is 'living beyond its means'.
Despite these concerns, Mr Callister supported the budget, and believes the measures announced earlier this week will help ease cost of living pressures.
But, he told Manx Radio this could create challenges for the next administration:
'No change to hand baggage policy' says Steam Packet
Jail for man who tried to gouge a police officer's eyes out
Response to census "exceptionally good" so far, says minister
