Work to be carried out in preparation for Island Games
More than £2.6 million will be spent over the next three years to upgrade and modernise sporting facilities at the National Sports Centre.
It’s in preparation for the Island Games in 2029, which will be hosted by the Isle of Man; it last hosted in 2001.
The money includes £900,000 for the athletics track, £850,000 for the all-weather pitch at The Bowl and £880,000 for mechanical and electrical systems in the main building.
Treasury says the improvements will also promote greater year-round use by the Manx community.
