Cleaning ahead of bird nesting season
Beach Buddies are down south this morning (Sun 19th) as they continue in their efforts to clear the Island's most sensitive beaches for bird nesting.
Access to such areas will be restricted in a fortnight's time so as not to disturb seabirds such as plovers and terns which nest on the shoreline.
This morning's session is at Langness from 10.30am for an hour and a half, and all are welcome.
As usual the Buddies will dispose of all rubbish collected - or recycle it where possible.
