Volunteer coastal cleaners target notorious litter grot spot
The Island's Beach Buddies are tackling a notorious litter grot spot in the south this morning (5 July).
The volunteer coastal cleaners have in their sights the southern section of Castletown Bay, out towards Langness.
Buddies' leader Bill Dale says despite it being a frequent target of their efforts, there are still considerable amounts of rubbish on the beach to collect.
The group will gather at the small car park close to the Langness turn off at 10.30am, all equipment will be provided and the sweep will last no more than 90 minutes.
Beach Buddies is supported by a wide range of Island businesses, and recently installed their branded Big Beach Bins around the Island's coastline.
