Manx Gas works beginning tomorrow
A main route into and out of Douglas closes this evening, ahead of the start of a major scheme tomorrow.
Manx Gas is replacing its mains pipes on Bucks Road, between the Rosemount and the junction with Circular Road.
The three-phase project is scheduled to take 11 weeks in its entirety.
Manx Gas's customer network services director, Robert Gardner, says it's essential work which has been planned for a long time - adding that diversions, closures and traffic lights will be in place.
The first section of Bucks Road to shut is between the Rosemount and the junction with Demesne Road, from 7pm.
That's due to be closed for three weeks.
