Broadway to shut for almost four months

Closure in place for prom scheme

A major route onto and off Douglas promenade is to close from the start of next week and could remain so for almost four months.

Broadway will be shut between its junctions with Harris Promenade and Derby Road from 6am on Monday until 8 September, or until work on this phase of the prom refurbishment scheme is completed.

Access to properties will be maintained.

Alternative routes will be via Derby Road, Glen Falcon Road and Woodbourne Road.

*Manx Radio has contacted the MyProm Project team for clarification on this matter after a road closure order issued to the media on Wednesday said the route would be shut until 20 October.

It's been confirmed by MyProm the closure is until 8 September.
