The demolition of a historic Douglas hotel is set to cause distruption to road users from Monday.
Mannin Investments is to knock down the Mannin Hotel on Broadway and will build a new hotel on the plot.
The road will be closed for six weeks while the demolition phase is carried out.
There are concerns regarding the demolition, particularly about the plans to take down the original facade of the building.
