Board member Ivan Burton says current costs 'unfairly penalise residents in parish

Bride Commissioners is hosting a drop-in session for residents to learn more about the cost of the Northern Civic Amenity Site.

The local authority believes it's still paying too much in contributions to the NCAS - £111,000 a year which it claims is about £600 per household.

The meeting is being held at the church hall tomorrow (4 July) and will run from 4pm until 6pm.

It adds that a petition to try and change the funding mechanism will be available for residents to sign at the session.

The local authority also says that if nothing was to change - rates would have to be increased.
