Crown dependencies meet DExEU in London

Reaching a deal that works 'for the whole British family' is a priority, as Brexit talks continue.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle, along with the heads of Jersey and Guernsey, today attended the sixth ministerial quarterly meeting of the Islands with the UK's Department for Exiting the EU in London.

In a joint statement, Minister Robin Walker, who chaired the meeting, and the representatives of all three islands, described today's meeting as 'characterised by constructive and honest discussion'.

During the talks, Minister Walker outlined how the UK is taking into account the interests of the crown dependencies on issues like fishing and agricultural trade, and financial services industries.

It's still unclear what the implications of Brexit could be for the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
