Fifth consecutive year of reductions
Braddan Commissioners have reduced the rate for the forthcoming year by 2.44%
It's been set at 200p in the pound and is the fifth rate reduction in as many years.
Commissioners say the reduction has been made possible due to a number of factors - the main one being a drop in the cost of providing the refuse and recycling services.
They add that the demolition of Snugborough Farm House in Union Mills, now in the ownership of the authority, provides a chance to explore building additional affordable housing.
