It will also be having an official opening day before April
The new pedestrian crossing on Braddan Road will not be taken on by the Department of Infrastructure until a £2,750 report is completed.
The clerk told the board it was a ‘statutory’ obligation and will have to be completed by someone from the UK.
A crossing point was one of the planning conditions attached to The Roundhouse development and cost the local authority nearly £80,000.
It was also confirmed another report would have to be carried out in 12 months.
Also on the agenda was a request from the nursery at The Roundhouse to introduce traffic calming measures following the opening of the new access road.
The clerk said the owners had concerns that people are speeding up the new road and the first building on the site is theirs.
He said a small speed bump will be installed which would stretch across both sides of the road to help protect children who may be being dropped off or picked up.
Markings will also be painted on the road and in the car park.
It was agreed by the board that Recycle Collect will continue with the recycling rounds for the next year after a tender process was carried out by the commissioners.
The local authority had previously used Douglas Council as its operator but last year switched to a private company.
It was also suggested during the meeting to move to fortnightly refuse bin collections, but did not vote on that during the meeting.
And an official opening of The Roundhouse will be held before the board is dissolved in April.
The centre had a ‘phased’ opening in 2024 with the sports hall opening first followed by some of the businesses – however an opening date for the pharmacy, the last tenant, is yet to be announced.
The board agreed to invite people who have supported the project and former commissioners.
Braddan Commissioners will next meet on Thursday 23 January.
