Flight cancellation and ice affect delivery
The Boxing Day newspapers have been delayed in reaching the Island due to transport issues.
As there was no overnight sailing, GE White had arranged for the papers to be brought to the Island by air, but their flight was cancelled due to staffing issues.
The wholesaler has been able to move the papers to another carrier, but that flight is delayed due to ice on the runway at East Midlands Airport.
Despite this, GE White is hoping to have the newspapers in the shops later today.
