DEFA Minister polled 273 votes
The outgoing environment minister says newly elected MHKs face 'tough challenges'.
Geoffrey Boot lost his seat in Glenfaba and Peel in the General Election – polling just 273 votes.
Writing on Facebook he said the last five years had 'not been the easiest' but the exit from politics would give him 'some down time that has been sadly lacking'.
Mr Boot's fellow political colleague Ray Harmer, the sitting Policy and Reform Minister, also lost his seat in the area.
