Body found in search for missing advocate

Mark Moroney has been missing for a fortnight

It’s understood a body found in the US Virgin Islands is that of Manx advocate Mark Moroney.

Police have confirmed a man’s body, found in a steep and heavily wooded area of St. John, was wearing similar clothing to Mr Moroney when he went missing.

The 70 year-old was reported missing by his wife Susan from their home in the Caribbean a fortnight ago.

He had a distinguished law career in the Island, founding the law firm Moroneys.
