Hooper's proposals take another step
The MHK whose Private Members Bill seeks to remove the Bishop's vote in Tynwald says he will now start talks with all members of the Legislative Council.
Lawrie Hooper's Constitution Bill was voted through its third reading in The House of Keys yesterday (Tuesday, 30 April).
The vote was 14 for, 9 against.
Mr Hooper says things have now moved forward a stage:
Person suffers 'significant injuries' in 'serious assault' near Peel
Business case for horse trams to be put before Tynwald in July
Plans to turn 'underused space' in central Douglas into wellness retreat
Employment grievance 'upheld' against board of Peel Commissioners
