MHK behind scrapped motion speaks out
A vote against a motion which would have seen the Bishop's role in Tynwald removed has been described as 'a lost opportunity' by the MHK who brought it forward.
Joney Faragher's proposals were dismissed by the majority, however a vote on an amendment beforehand showed the House of Keys were in favour of removing the Church's vote.
The Douglas East MHK says axing the bishop's role would have shown would-be migrants that the Isle of Man had a progressive parliament:
