Island 'still attractive to other retailers'
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture doesn't believe Tesco's significant Isle of Man presence will deter other supermarket chains from considering opening shop here.
The acquisition of all nine Shoprite stores means the UK giant has representation across all parts of the Island.
But the Minister - Clare Barber - is confident other retailers could still find the Island an attractive market:
