Organiser to store individual's record
Two Manx charities have joined forces to help Island cancer patients.
A new organiser-style booklet launched today (21 Nov) allows patients to create a unique record of their cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment.
Containing advice and information based on the Island's health service, individuals can adapt the booklet to their own needs.
It will also come in useful at GP and hospital appointments, with space for notes and questions for consultations.
The booklet has been produced by the Cancer Service Users Forum and funded by the Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association.
The Forum's chairman Derek Peters says it's an improvement on what's been offered to cancer patients in the past:
Meningitis B vaccination scheme to be rolled out on-Island
Balthane Roundabout plans on hold until 2027/28 as costs rise
Port St Mary lifeboat launched to rescue stricken fishing vessel
