Stephen Broad says members should be able to ask questions and hold government to account regardless of their roles
A new MHK says taking on a ministerial role shouldn't stop a member asking questions and holding government to account.
Stephen Broad, who topped the poll in Ayre and Michael, is keen to take on a position in government following his election last week.
He told Manx Radio he wants to get involved and make a difference instead of 'sitting on the sidelines'.
But he says it's important all members can challenge government:
