Minister's challenge to square circle
The health and social care minister says she has identified areas for improvement in the Island's health service.
Kate Beecroft's comments come as Tynwald's Public Accounts Committee prepares to start an investigation into the department's £11.1 million overspend in the current financial year.
The DHSC has had its budget for the forthcoming 12 months topped up by that amount, but also has to find around £10 million of savings.
Mrs Beecroft says some of that would be used to improve other services, or introduce new ones:
Residents still want to see what wind farm will look like
Construction costs on the Island 18% above UK average and comparable with Outer London
Manx residents 'will probably need to pay more' if they want universal health service
