Still has concerns about where review could lead
Kate Beecroft says she's been 'reassured' by promises over the future of free healthcare in the Island.
The former minister called
on colleagues to explicitly rule out the notion of privatising services this week, as a Treasury review continues into DHSC funding.
Ultimately her successor, David Ashford, amended the motion to state that the NHS should be based on 'need, not ability to pay' - and that it 'must remain committed to providing best value for taxpayers' money'.
Though Mrs Beecroft still has concerns about where the review could lead, she hopes it will quell rumours about charging for services:
