LibVab leader after top job
LibVan leader Kate Beecroft has declared her intention to stand for the top job in government.
The incumbent South Douglas MHK announced her candidacy on social media yesterday, after topping last Thursday's poll in her constituency.
If she is elected, it would mark the first time a woman, and the first time a party member, has obtained the post.
Ayre and Michael MHK Alf Cannan and Rushen MHK Laurence Skelly have also put their names into the hat so far.
Allan Bell's successor will be elected on Tuesday, 4 October.
