Founder of Manx charity writes to Japanese Embassy and Government
A Manx charity has made a formal protest again Japan's decision to resume commercial whaling.
Beach Buddies has written to the Japanese Embassy in London and the Japanese Government after it was announced the nation would be leaving the International Whaling Commission to start killing whales again from next summer.
The letter highlights Japan's special relationship with the Isle of Man through the TT, and warns Japanese brands such as Honda and Suzuki could face a boycott.
Beach Buddies founder Bill Dale hopes Japan will reconsider the move.
