Emotional experience for Bill
The man who inspired a whole Island to get out and clean up the coast says he's 'stunned' to have received the nation's highest accolade.
Bill Dale received the Tynwald Honour last week, ranking him alongside the likes of Harvey Briggs, Norman Sayle and Nadene Crowther.
What started as a solo effort to pick up litter 11 years ago is now one of the Island's largest voluntary organisations, Beach Buddies has amassed more than 10,000 volunteers since 2007.
Mr Dale also regularly travels all over the world promoting the cause.
He says collecting the award on Tynwald Day was an emotional experience.
