
A new scheme to help clear up the Island's coastline has been launched in the west.
The first 'Beach Buddies Big Beach Bin' is at Glen Wyllin beach, encouraging walkers to take a plastic bag from a dispenser and pick up litter while they're out in that area.
Beach Buddies will maintain and empty the bins, recycling items when possible.
They are sponsored, with the first one being paid for by the Society for the Preservation of the Manx Countryside and Environment.
