There's a chance to see a film celebrating one of the Island's best known sea creatures tonight (Fri 10th)
"Basking Sharks: Gentle Giants" by German film-maker Florian Guthknecht is a 50 minute celebration of the Island's amazing wildlife and how Manx Basking Shark Watch and Manx Birdlife strive to discover more about it.
The film features some incredible footage shot on the Island, out to sea and under the waves, as wells as interviews with some of those involved in research and conservation work.
It's being shown at the Villa Marina in Douglas this evening between 5.30 and 6.30pm.
Entry is free, though donations to Manx Basking Shark Watch are invited.
