Haunting memories of Las Ramblas atrocity
Five friends caught up on the fringes of last week’s terror attack in Barcelona have recalled their experiences and say they are relieved to be home safely.
The travellers, who hail from Foxdale, were on Las Ramblas just 10 minutes before a van drove into crowds, killing 13 people and injuring 100 others.
They watched the city’s response to events from a vantage point nearby.
Teenagers Luis Novo-Smith, Ali Fappiano and Juan Killey know the whole scenario of their holiday could have been very different.
