Environment Minister concerned over more car journeys
The closure of two bank branches could have adverse effects on the environment, according to Geoffrey Boot.
The Environment Minister was commenting after it was announced Isle of Man Bank buildings in Castletown and Peel will be shutting their doors for good in January.
Branches remain open in Douglas, Ramsey and Port Erin.
Mr Boot says it will lead to more car journeys as a result:
