
Port Erin commissioners say a rock band was stopped from playing at a church service on the beach on Mad Sunday morning because of complaints from residents.
The Living Hope Community Church had won agreement from the authority to hold the outdoor event - which was expected to attract a large crowd - as long as no amplification was used.
But on the day, when a church band set up microphones, amps and speakers, local people concerned at the noise called out the commissioners.
The authority's chair Lorna McKellar says thousands of people are enjoying live music from a beach stage every night during TT, but she says it wasn't acceptable on a Sunday morning.
