Parents whose children attend Ballakermeen High School are being asked to drop their kids off nearby and avoid roads immediately adjacent to the site.
The plea comes as the roads around the school are becoming increasingly congested, causing blockages at school drop-off and pick-up times.
In a post on social media, the school says the high levels of traffic is blocking bus routes.
