There’s uncertainty over why the head teacher of Ballacottier Primary School is absent today.
A Department of Education official described as ‘personal’ the reason why Carol Walsh is not in post at the moment, although no specific reason has been given for her absence.
Mrs Walsh became head of the school - which has around 300 pupils - in 2011.
She’d previously occupied the same position at Marown School.
