34-year-old wanted to 'get to Jurby Prison'
A Ramsey man who is awaiting sentencing for smashing the window of a police station has been released from custody on bail.
Shaun David Bignall, of Mooragh Promenade, appeared at Douglas Courthouse via live video link from the prison.
The 34-year-old has previously admitted destroying property at Ramsey Police Station on 1 August - the court heard he broke the glass at 3.47am and waited for officers to arrive ‘in order to get to Jurby Prison’.
Magistrates granted bail and Bignall will next appear in court on 21 September.
Update: In a court appearance on 19 October Bignall also admitted breaching a Domestic Abuse Protection Order. Magistrates set a sentencing date of 30 October.
