Manx side secured three medals in Guernsey two years ago
Another busy schedule awaits the Isle of Man Badminton team competing in the 2025 Island Games which get underway this weekend.
Hoping to build on the three Isle of Man medals secured in Guernsey two years ago will be a squad of ten taking part in a mixture of the teams, doubles and singles events.
Among those in the team with games experience is Matthew Nicholson.
He says this event is different to anything else he and the Island badminton players will be involved in throughout a season:
The Isle of Man took one gold in badminton in Guernsey in 2023 with Kim Clague and Jess Li securing top spot in the Women's Doubles.
Li was also a silver medallist in the Women's Singles whilst Li and Nicholson teamed up to bag bronze in the Mixed Doubles.
Alongside Clague, Li and Nicholson are two others who featured in Guernsey in the form of Alex Buck and Philippa Li.
Ben Kneale is a late addition to the squad and will make is maiden games appearance along with fellow debutants Tommy Cheng, Baillie Watterson, Annelise Mellor and Charlotte Watson.
