New initiative launched by Diverse Minds Community
Nominations have opened for an awards ceremony dedicated to recognising, and celebrating, neurodivergent children and young people across the Island.
It’s been launched by the parent-led group Diverse Minds Community.
The Better Together Awards of Excellence 2027 will put the spotlight on determination, kindness, courage and creativity and will take place at The Comis Hotel, in Santon, on 27 February.
Nominations are invited for 12 different categories - information about which can be found on the organisation's website HERE.
Founder Nichola Whitlam-Becket says the organisation seeks to challenge stigma and is pushing for an Isle of Man where neurodivergent children and young people are understood for who they are.
The aim is to leave families proud, and young people knowing they've attended a night that feels positive and aspirational, especially for teenagers.
