Manx doctors have an average of 1,998 patients registered to them
Almost 2,000 patients are currently registered to each GP on the Isle of Man.
The average of 1,998 is above the total recommended by the British Medical Association of 1,800.
Speaking in Tynwald this week, Health Minister Claire Christian said GP services have evolved in recent years to include more appointments with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
