Former town centre shop left unoccupied for years
A Ramsey commissioner says a building currently posing a risk to the public in the town centre may need to be demolished
The local authority has issued an emergency road closure on Parliament Street, after masonry fell from Auldyn House onto the path during recent bad weather.
Once a shoe shop, and at another time a florist, the now-dilapidated building has been left unoccupied for years.
Chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners Andy Cowie says there had been hopes to maintain the current structure:
Mr Cowie hopes the closure on Parliament Street should be lifted 'rapidly'.
