Campaigner's concerns over storage breach

An Island civil rights campaigner has called for a full audit of personal data held by the Manx government on its citizens.

Tristram Llewellyn Jones has expressed concern at the government's approach to data protection, as its key digital strategy offers a growing range of public services online. 

Mr Llewellyn-Jones, who campaigns against what he sees as intrusion by the authorities into individual privacy, fears breaches and unregulated storage could be a widespread problem.

His comments come in the wake of last week's revelation that the Department of Education's Centralised Pupil Database was not operating lawfully.
