Island in vanguard for new health check
The Isle of Man Audiology Service hopes to act as a trend setter as it offers visiting children from Chernobyl something new.
Every year, groups from deprived areas in Belarus, visit the island and other parts of the British Isles for a month-long holiday of activities and health checks.
This year, the Isle of Man Audiology Service has put forward the offer of free hearing checks for the children and, according to the group organisers, is the first to do so.
Audiologist Steven Griffiths hopes other GP's across the British Isles will follow suit and talks about the steps he has taken to help get the ball rolling.
