
A Freedom of Information expert has told a Manx audience there is a big difference between a code of practice and a legal act.
The BBC's news specialist Martin Rosenbaum was invited by the Positive Action Group to speak last night (Monday) on his experiences of using the UK Act.
Currently, there is a Code of Practice avaiable for inquiries locally as work continues on a Freedom of Information Bill.
Mr Rosenbaum told the audience the difference between the two is marked:
