Former Chief Minister says new residents must strengthen the economy
The government should consider what new residents will contribute before focusing on growing the population to 100,000.
That's the view of the Isle of Man's first Chief Minister Sir Miles Walker, who says it's vital the Island brings in the right people.
The former Rushen MHK, who joined Marc Tyley on MiTunes this week, believes the Island can support a larger population.
But he says it's important to strengthen the economy as well:
Sailings cancelled due to predicted gales
Have your say on the future of the Island's plantations
Warning for 'disorderly' parents attending schools
Yellow weather warning for gale force winds
