Callister wants committee to scrutinise proposed laws
An Onchan MHK says he has serious concerns over some clauses within the Assisted Dying Bill.
Rob Callister will bring a motion to the House of Keys tomorrow hoping to establish a committee to scrutinise the proposed legislation.
The motion, as written on the Order Paper, is: 'That the Clauses of the Assisted Dying Bill 2023 be referred to a Committee of five Members to consider and report by the end of February 2024.'
On Manx Radio's Mannin Line this lunchtime he said there's one clause regarding inquests he has a particular issue with - and he wants to know what effect it will have on insurance:
