Legislative Council members vote in favour of principles
Members of the Legislative Council have voted in favour of the principles of the Assisted Dying Bill.
It now progresses to the clauses stage.
The Bill completed its passage through the House of Keys before the summer recess.
At this morning's LegCo sitting - the first gathering since July - seven members voted in favour, one voted against.
An amendment has been included to have an evidence stage to look at UK bill currently in the process of being drafted.
