Chanel Island granted Royal Assent earlier this week
The man who piloted the Assisted Dying Bill through Tynwald, Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson, says he's pleased for the people of Jersey after Royal Assent was granted to their Bill earlier this week.
It means an assisted dying service could be operational in the Channel Island from September next year.
The Manx Bill still awaits Royal Assent after the UK sought amendments to the legislation.
Dr Allinson isn't contesting September's general election.
So, does he believe the next administration will have the impetus to press on with the necessary preparatory work assuming Royal Assent is granted?
