Douglas Council appointed new committee chairman, David Ashford
Douglas Council has elected its new Pensions Committee chairman.
David Ashford was elected unopposed by his peers to fill the vacancy left by departing member Jon Joughin.
Mr Joughin was forced to step down from the council after it emerged he wasn't on the Island's voters' list.
Mr Ashford will now serve the position until local authority elections in April 2016.
