Douglas North MHK also made member of Cabinet Office
David Ashford has been appointed as the new Chair of the Housing & Communities Board.
The Douglas North MHK's responsibilities will see him work with the board and the Housing Division of the Department of Infrastructure to develop proposals for a national housing association.
He has also taken on a role as a member of the Cabinet Office.
Speaking of his new role as chair of the housing board, Mr Ashford says policy on the matter is of 'central strategic importance to the future of our Island.'
