An event celebrating the positive impact volunteers have in the Island community takes place today (Saturday).
‘The Big Event’ marks the start of volunteers week and is being hosted at the Sefton Hotel garden room from 10am until two o’clock (2pm).
More than 30 organisations will be represented and you can find out more about the breadth of work which takes place around our Island.
Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney, who will open the event, says he has been struck by the array of activities charities carry out in the community.
